Election and Decision Day

Tuesday, November 3, 2009 took Jane for her MRI and it showed a torn meniscus (cartilage) in her knee. Al still remains in his state of dizziness. A decision had to be made whether she wanted no operation and receive some relief with pain medication; or have surgery to remove the meniscus. At this point Jane is walking with a borrowed walker from a neighbor.
My son, Ted was running for a position as city-councilman for Clive, Iowa. Tonight would give us the results. The results came down that he didn’t win, but he was going up against some well known candidates in the community. He gave a good showing for his very first time running for a political office. Our whole family was very proud of him. I just want him to know that. There’s always the next time. I’m sure he will learn from this experience and eventually win a seat. That’s just the type of man he has proven to be.
